District Sales Manager-Retail hard goods

Territory: Province of Quebec
Work place: Bureau à domicile/Home Office
 
Salary: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00
Monthly commissions + bonus: $1,250.00

Company profile
Our client is a retail organization specialized in hard goods who is looking to hire a District Sales Manager. The person will be responsible for managing up to 10 stores in the province of Quebec.We are looking for someone with both 5 years sales management experience at a retail level and hard goods experience.

Retail sales of hard goods
 
Training: On the job training will be provided but must have retail of hard goods and sales management experience
 
Requirements
 
Academic: College degree required
# years of experience: 5 years equivalent retail management experience
Language: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Transferable contacts: N/A
Transferable knowledge: Knows how to motivate a team *Knows how to set sales targets and follow them *knows how to work as part of a team
Travel (time): Less than 10% overnight travel
Other: Drive sales and productivity results. *Develop strong management staffs in each store. *Develop a high level of internal and external customer service standards. *Be responsible for all aspects of store operations. *Be accountable for store profits by maximizing sales and controlling inventory and expenses.
 
Function
 
Development vs maintenance (%): 50% vs 50%
Road vs Office: 90% vs 10%
Other 1: Actively recruits and hires Store sales Managers and Assistant Sales Managers. *Assures that all associate training is completed per Company guidelines to ensure that Company standards are met.
Other 2: Review and set goals to achieve monthly sales, profit and productivity expectations and ensures participation by the management and sales staff at each store. *Serves as a liaison between the store and Home Office to ensure proper inventory levels to maximize sales and stock turn.
Other 3: Maintains an awareness of sales and inventory through store visits, communication with stores and report analysis. *Communicates needs through supervisor and appropriate Home Office personnel. Ensures stores are ordering within guidelines for general stock and sales items. *Shares sales and productivity results with Store sales managers for motivational purposes.
Other 4: Deals with all cases of internal and external theft. *Ensures key control and effective security measures are present in each store
