Our client is "big"player in the transportation industry. They are looking for an energetic business development rep who will pursue medium to large sized deals. They offer a stimulating workplace with a lot of internal advancement for the right individual. The role is exclusively business development in a joint selling environment.

Requirements
Academic: *Bachelor's degree or community college preferred
# years of experience: *Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of sales experience in a Less than Truckload(LTL) environment
Language: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Transferable contacts: *Contacts within industrial, manufacturing and distributor customers either locally or Nationally
Transferable knowledge: *Knowledge and ability to sell and book freight as required
Travel (time): *No overnight travel required except for training purposes
Other: *Must have the will to win *Must be self motivated *Ability to organize and prioritize large amounts of information *Strong presentation, human relations and negotiation skills

Development vs maintenance (%): 80% vs 20%
Road vs Office: 70% vs 30%
Other 1: *Ensuring attainment of assigned revenue goals *Working with the Field Account Executives & National Account Executives to determine opportunities within existing and new accounts from different parts of our business
Other 2: *Developing and executing strategies and tactics to secure these opportunities *Developing and maintaining account intelligence system that records, stores and reports all sales activities, account information, industry information, competitive information and any other information deemed necessary by management
Other 3: *Developing and implementing a sales work plan and schedule that ensures minimum attainment of all required sales activities to include sales calls, proposals, presentations, customer tours as well as any other sales activities defined by management *Managing entries and updating information on sales reporting tools
Other 4: *Conducting sales calls - Inside and face to face meetings with each sale regions representatives *Knowledge and ability to sell and book freight as required. Follow-up and qualify opportunities
