Salary: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00

Company profile
Our client is an international buildings materials manufacturer and is looking for a channel manager for the province of Quebec. You will be responsible for the contractors and sub-contractor clients particularly in roofing products. You will be responsible for influencing the clients of our clients.

Requirements
Academic: *Bachelor's degree required
# years of experience: *5+ years successful sales experience required
Language: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Transferable contacts: N/A
Transferable knowledge: *Construction industry knowledge a plus *Basic understanding of Building Science desired *High level of business strategy and market understanding
Travel (time): *50% overnight travel required
Other: *Ability to be a strong customer advocate *Excellent negotiation skills *Highly motivated and results-driven individual with excellent interpersonal skills *Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. *High safety awareness and demonstrated personal safety engagement are required

Other 1: *Direct responsibility for commercial, metal building and roofing distribution locations including the following: Masonry/Concrete, Gypsum/Drywall, Brick/Block Supply Houses, Metal Building Insulation Supply Locations, Commercial Insulation Supply Houses, Commercial Insulation Supply Houses, Spray Foam Distributors and Roofing *Management of national commercial and roofing segment distribution accounts
Other 2: *Collaboration with the Technical Sales Representative to ensure product is in the market to turn specifications into sales. *Develop, communicate and execute against tactical implementation accounts plans that support the national business objectives for all strategic distributor locations in their area.
Other 3: *Management of activities centering around distribution and owning the flow of company products through that channel *Responsible for tracking projects through stages from bid to award. *Identify and understand strengths and weaknesses of competitive distribution within assigned territory.
Other 4: *Responsible for Internet based distributor training and problem resolution and trouble-shooting *Provide input to Pricing Manager on overall territory job pricing strategy *Identify, negotiate, train and manage the distributor for all new product introduction and commercialization
