Company Profile:

Our client is a manufacturer of hand tools and sells and distributes across Canada.

Functions:

The National Sales Director will report directly to the President and will be a member of the senior management team.
He will be evaluated on sales growth in their different markets, closing ability and the financial viability of the different deals.
Manages Sales Managers and their teams across Canada.
Manages Independant Agents and their teams across Canada.
Oversees, with their Sales Managers, all major customers.
Identify and develop strategies for new markets and new customers.
Develop strategies for existing customers in an effort to better penetrate the accounts.
Provide the President with market information, be a sounding board and provide advice as to packaging and new products.
Set financial objectives and follow up monthly, quarterly and annually (via 1 on 1's).
Work with different departments such as marketing to build promotions.
Help to be a change agent; move sales organization from "farming" to "hunting".

Job Requirements:

Academic * College degree. * Bachelor's degree would be considered an asset.
Languages Perfect English and functionnal French (written & spoken).
Experience Minimum of 10 years sales experience.
Minimum of 5 years sales management experience (both direct reps and agents).
Experience in trade.
Canada wide sales experience will be an asset.
Proven track record.
  Hands on with customers and staff.
Quick learner.
Participate in continuous learning.
Team work.
Good personnality (charismatic leader, straightforward speaker, cultured).
Dynamic and energic.
