Job Description:

Profile: Our client is a well established manufacturer of food packaging products sold across Canada and the US. We are looking for a Director of Sales  and marketing  who will manager direct reps and agents. Your role is to guide the team, manage large RFPs, be the face in front of our major clients and general management of the sales department. You will spend 80% of your time in sales and the balance in marketing. This role is for this summer. (please provide a resume in English )

Territory: Canada & U.S

Work Place: Laval

Products/Services: Food packaging

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 Base

Commissions/Bonus: 20% on base

Car allowance: Car provided or allowance

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Ensure growth and profitability of sales; Closely monitor the performance of manufacturing agents

    • Establish goals and mobilize internal resources  who are part of your team
    • Establish a dashboard allowing monthly monitoring of the results vs the plan
    • Balance your time between retention of existing clients, prospecting for new opportunities and internal management
    • Implement a customer relationship management (CRM) tool and ensure the smooth operation of the pipeline and weekly sales forecasts
    • Hold sales meetings on a weekly basis and prioritize activities to achieve objectives
    • Participate in weekly executive meetings and present key results and issues with related solutions

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 65% vs 35%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: Full bilingualism needed (especially written)

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education required

Training: On the road training provided but we are looking for industry experience.

Overnight Travel: Between 30-40% overnight travel

Years’ of experience: At least 10 years ' sales and 5 years' in sales management
