Job Description:

Profile: Our client is a leading manufacturer of equipment and consumables sold to food retailers. They are on the lookout for a representative with a proven track record to increase sales and market share within the Greater Area of Montreal both with existing and new clients.

Territory: Montreal and surroundings

Work Place: Home Office

Products/Services: Specialty retail equipment

Salary:$44,000 to $50,000 base

Commissions/Bonus: $10,000-$12,000 annually but first year about $5,000

Car allowance: $850/month + gas card

Expenses reimbursement: As per company policy

  • Actively promote sales, taking a personal and active role in account generation and support
  • Generate and qualify leads

  • Negotiate with clients to maintain consistently healthy margins and favorable terms while maintaining

    effective customer relations

  • Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, email or in person

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 40%

Road vs Office: 70% vs 30%

Languages: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)

Education:Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Training: In-House training provided

Overnight Travel: Very little overnight travel may be required

Years’ of experience: 1 to 2 years' experience needed

Other requirements:

  • Must be confident and demonstrate good business ethics
  • Excellent organization and negotiating skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be goal driven
  • Must have cold calling capabilities

Transferable contacts: Contacts within the speciality retail segment is an asset

Transferable Knowledge: Handling sales cycles from 1 to 3 months
