Job Description:

Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of control panels and is looking to expand and develop the North American  market and is looking for a business development rep  to sell directly to end users. You will approach industrial clients who include manufacturers, process manufacturers and engineers and consultants.

Territory: North America

Work Place:Montreal

Products/Services: Electrical control panels

Salary: $70,000-$80,000

Commissions/Bonus: $20,000-$30,000 annually, no cap on commissions

Car allowance: Reimbursed

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Other Benefits: Health and dental plan shared 50/50

  • Promote and sell Company products to customers through assigned territory
  • Create a prospect list by industries served
  • Determine client needs
  • Build strong customer relationships
  • Build a strong funnel of opportunities
  • Produce strong forecasts
  • Follow up on quotes
  • Nurture existing customers
  • Identify manufacturing reps to partner with within territory

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 80% vs 20%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: English & French

Education: Technical degree necessary

Training: On the job training

Overnight Travel: Very little overnight required

Years’ of experience: At least 5 years' experience in a similar field

Other requirements: Knowledge of selling to manufacturers

Transferable contacts: N/A

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of control panels, electrical products to industry
  • Knowledge of selling into industrial clients
  • Knowledge of setting up a distribution network
