Job Description:

Profile:  Our client is a distributor of telecommunications equipment used by wholesale customers across Canada. Coupled with the equipment, they wrap their professional services around that to provide a comprehensive integrated solution to carriers and telcos.  We are looking for an account executive who will take care of a base of customers, upsell and sell to new customers. We are looking for someone who is project-focused.

Territory: Province of Quebec

Work Place: Montreal

Products/Services: telecom equipment

Salary: base $80,000

Commissions/Bonus: $30,000 at 100% of plan, over achievement bonuses available as well

Car allowance: All gas paid

Expenses reimbursement: All expenses reimbursed

  • Grow the business by profiling accounts, advising and proactively influencing all aspects of the business and quota planning cycle
  • Deliver an extremely accurate and consistent view of short term and long term forecasts and pipeline
  • Created influence and trust with your customers
  • Develops deep consultative relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Negotiates skilfully in tough situations
  • Consults engineering teams as part of the solutions presented to client. In fact, gets engineering involved in sales cycle
  • Provides excellence in serving key accounts

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: French and English (both written and spoken)

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Training: Full product training provided but must come from the industry

Overnight Travel: Up to 20% overnight

Years’ of experience: 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar role

Other requirements:  

  • Demonstrates high-energy and competitive mind-set
  • Has a track record of accomplishments

Transferable contacts: Has sold to cable, wireless or other telecom companies

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of broadband, wireless, test and measure, outside plant and IP solutions necessary
