Job Description:

Profile: Our client, located in Brossard is looking for a sales rep in the field of professional services and software. We are looking for someone who is equally at ease calling on existing customers as they are calling on new prospects. Your role will be to open doors, ask the right questions and when things get technical, bring in our subject matter expert and technical guru. We are in growth mode and looking to add to this tight knit team. Our expertise is selling to cities, counties and municipalities as well as state and local government. We are looking for an attitude, drive and someone who can contribute to our growth.

Territory: US, Ontario and Western Canada

Work Place: Brossard and some work from home

Products/Services: Professional services and software

Salary: Base $60,000 to $65,000

Commissions/Bonus: $20,000 commissions paid monthly at 100%, uncapped commissions, accelerator > 100%

Car allowance: $ per km

Expenses reimbursement: All travel and meal expenses reimbursed

  • Call on municipalities, cities and counties
  • Prospect some utilities
  • Prospect public works department
  • Call on existing customers in an effort to up sell  and cross sell our products and services
  • Call on prospects who have attended trade shows and have shown an interest in us
  • Qualify prospects, prepare proposals, manage funnel
  • Use CRM to report on sales activities
  • Close and follow up clients

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 40%

Road vs Office:  40% vs 60%

Languages: Excellent English and spoken French needed

Education: College degree preferred

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: Up to 15% per month

Years’ of experience: 3-5 years b2b selling experience

Other requirements:

  • Experience selling to municipalities and cities is a big asset,
  • Experience selling professional services would be an asset

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Experience selling and presenting to IT directors
