Job Description:

Profile: Our client is global manufacturer of industrial equipment and is looking for a territory manager who will be responsible for growing the customer base within Quebec. The large majority of clients are in and around Montreal. You will be selling into the metal fabrication, aerospace, oil and gas and structural steel processing industries. Your clients are both small and large. Please provide your resume in English.

Territory: Province of Quebec

Work Place: Home Office

Products/Services: High tech industrial equipment

Salary: Base $50,000-$60,000

Commissions/Bonus: $36,000 annually (paid quarterly)

Car allowance: Vehicle + gas card+ insurance and maintenance paid

Expenses reimbursement: All business expenses reimbursed

Other Benefits: Full benefits package paid 100% by company + matching funds RRSP

  • Prospect and open new accounts
  • Identify decision makers

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 80% vs 20%

Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%

Languages: Bilingualism required

Education: College degree with a technical designation preferred

Training: Detailed training of 4 weeks which includes 1 week of sales and product and technical training

Overnight Travel: Less than 15% overnight travel required besides the initial training

Years’ of experience: 3 to 5 years' technical/industrial sales experience required

Other requirements:

  • Strong business developer
  • Capacity to understand technical industrial products
  • You have strong presentation skills
  • No more than 2 jobs in the last 5 years

Transferable contacts: You have sold into industrial accounts

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to manage the expectations of middle managers, senior managers and engineers
  • Strong interest and experience in selling benefits over price
