Job Description:

Title: Channel manager; food services industry
Territory: Montreal, North shore, Joliette, Berthierville etc
Work place: Home office
Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of products sold to the food services industry. We are looking for a rep who will handle their distributors in Quebec. Your role will be to sell our products and service our customers. You will be a problem solver, set territory goals and maximize revenues.
Products/Services: Consumer products sold to foodservices
Salary: 50,000.00$ - 65,000.00$
Commissions and bonus: $10,000.00 per year
Car allowance:  Company car and gas card provided
Expenses Reimbursement: Expenses reimbursed as per company policy
All reasonable expenses reimbursed
Other benefits:  Full benefits package
Development vs Maintenance: 30% vs 70%
Road vs Office: 70% vs 30%
Languages: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Education: A minimum of a DEC is required (verification required)
Training: 1 week in the US

Ongoing training with manager via "ride withs"
Overnight travel required:
2-3 days overnight per month  
Overnight travel a few times per year to attend trade shows and training
Number of years sales experience: A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience of a tangible product preferably in the foodservices industry
Other requirements:  
You demonstrate creative problem solving
You have a stable employment record (no job jumping)
Must be able to provide a clean driving record
Must be able to pass a criminal and credit check
Transferable knowledge: If you have sold into the foodservices industry that would be an asset
Complete a semi-annual review on performance of territory and self with explanation of what happened and why it happened introspectively
Prepare for all sales calls to established and prospective distributors and users using multi-dimensional selling
Analyze customer and business problems and opportunities and unemotionally negotiate alternative solutions
Be active with all accounts in increasing sales with user leads and orders, sales meetings, team calls and well thought out promotions.
Use all available sales and marketing tools to enhance the effectiveness of sales initiatives to existing and prospective customers
Actively secure and report market and competitive information as it relates to the current activity of selling
Successfully attaining new sales of products, both on existing lines stocked as well as new products.
Effectively “set the stage” during presentations in order to create a need and influence buying decisions
