Job Description:

Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of windows and doors and is looking for a sales manager to manage both a team inside and outside. Your role will be to maintain the existing customers as well as support the new business development effort. We are looking for a sales manager who can articulate a process, can install KPIs and measure your team members against them. You are organized, you use the carrot rather than the stick to motivate and inspire your people. We are looking for a builder and planner.  

Territory: Montreal and surroundings

Work Place: Laval

Products/Services: windows and doors

Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 base

Commissions/Bonus: 10% on growth of the customer base

Car allowance: Km reimbursement

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Work in conjunction with General Manager to set sales strategies and objectives
  • Work on pricing
  • Work directly with inside sales team to establish procedures and standards of performance
  • Follow up on a regular basis with inside sales team
  • Ensure that you are monitoring stats in an effort to improve our efforts
  • Establish personal objectives with each team member, follow up and correct if need be
  • Provide solid leadership

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%

Road vs Office: 10% vs 90%

Languages: French and English

Education: College degree or equivalent experience

Training: On the job training required

Overnight Travel: No overnight required

Years’ of experience: 3-5 years in a similar role

Other requirements: You show discipline and a track record in your past positions

Transferable contacts: N/A

Transferable Knowledge:

  • You know how to use and interpret data from a CRM
  • Strong time management and organizational skills needed
