Title: National Account Rep-Transportation and logistics services
Territory: Named accounts

Profile: Our client is a national player in the transportation and logistics field and is in search of a major account rep who will be in charge of a group of named accounts. This accounts are based in both Quebec and Ontario. The rep needs to come from the industry. This role is to sell within 100 accounts and is primarily 60% hunting within those accounts and about 25 target accounts. We are a very customer-focused organization and you need to be as well. This is primarily a new business development role within a performance culture.

Education: Bachelor's degree
Training: Must come with industry experience

Number of years sales experience: At least 5 years' of industry experience is needed
Other requirements: You have a demonstrated track record of success
You are autonomous but can work collaboratively with your manager  
Transferable contacts: Has sold to decision makers of users of   transportation/logistics services
Transferable knowledge: Great team spirit
Has demonstrated that they have and can work successfully with operations team
Is well versed in strategic account planning and selling
Comfortable cold calling
Functions: Proactively call on accounts assigned; those with existing business and those with zero billing
Create a strategic plan to acquire new business with accounts
Identify market penetration opportunities and target customers to drive contract business.
