Job Description:

Title: Senior Business Development Rep-lighting
Territory: North America
Work place: Montreal
Profile: Our client manufactures and distributes lighting products. We are looking for a senior business development rep whose job it will be to develop new business opportunities across Canada and the U.S with a hands on approach. You will develop new sales channels while being intimately implicated from conception to completion/roll out.
Products/Services: Lighting products
Salary: 75,000.00$ - 75,000.00$
Commissions and bonus: $4,000 per month
 
Car allowance:  All travel related reimbursed

Development vs Maintenance:   90% vs 10%
Road vs Office:  25% vs 75%
May vary depending on the season
Languages: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Education:  University degree in business, or related field (considered an asset)
Training: On the job training provided but must have some industry experience
Overnight travel required:  About 25% overnight travel mostly to the U.S required
Number of years sales experience: 5 years of experience in Sales  with an ability to deal with CEO, CFO top management at fortune 500 type companies as well as the less visible decision makers and gatekeepers
Other requirements: Proven ability to generate revenue from major customers.
Experience working in a deadline-driven environment preferred
Ability to build a team around yourself
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English  
Transferable contacts: Contacts with the contractors and building managers needed
Contacts within lighting distributors an asset
Transferable knowledge: Background in the lighting and/or energy industries

Able to build client relationships quickly, in order to establish and maintain a profitable book of business

Energy conservation knowledge considered an asset
Functions: Clearly qualify opportunities in order to correctly prioritize resources

Monthly reporting through CRM Software

Develop new business channels

Monitoring of key performance expectations;

Participate in industry conferences, representing the company in various associations and maintaining a strong network of industry contacts;

Participate actively as part of an executive team, in major contract negotiations and closings;

Work closely with the internal sales team;
