Job Description:

Title: Vice President of Sales, Canada-electronics
Territory: Canada

Profile: Our client sells electronic products to retailers and specialty chain stores. We are looking for a Vice President of Sales who will head up Canadian sales. Your role will be to manage our largest accounts directly, manage sales, independent agents and provide leadership for the Canadian team. You will lead sales and sales operations and your role will be to grow revenue in the different segments, ensure sales effectiveness, productivity in support of company’s business strategies and financial goals, adjusts operational plans accordingly.

Salary: 100,000.00$ - 120,000.00$
Commissions and bonus: $50,000 variable comp based on both margin and KPIs

Education: University degree or equivalent experience needed
Training: Full training provided at home office and U.S location
Overnight travel required: Up to 50% travel across Canada and some U.S
Number of years sales experience: 10+ years experience in a sales leadership position, including 5 years with multiple sales manager direct reports
5+ years experience in Consumer Electronics
5+ years experience in an emerging growth or highly entrepreneurial larger corporation environment
Other requirements: P&L, OPEX and margin management responsibility in the past is a must
Very comfortable with Excel and Powerpoint
Very strong people leadership experience needed
You are able to translate corporate goals, make it your own and lead your people to execute
You have very strong KPI management abilities
You have  great direct selling experience and can be the lead on our largest accounts
Affinity for technology selling, high degree of product knowledge and technical skill set  needed
Track record in building successful, effective field sales teams who delivered results in competitive markets
Transferable contacts: Experience with large national  retailers of consumer electronics necessary
Transferable knowledge: Experience and knowledge of multiple channel sales
Knowledge of budgeting and P&L needed
Functions: Charged with revenue generation responsibility for all Canadian sales ops. Recruits, trains, and manages performance of all assigned sales staff, targets and quotas

Provide strategic and tactical inputs on customers and channels to interdepartmentally and to management team

Fosters high-energy, performance driven team-based sales culture, focused on developing business and delivering value added customer relations.

Assess market potential and opportunities to propose resource plans including allocation and prioritization

Plans and implements required organizational structure, sales processes in order to effectively penetrate  existing accounts, acquire  new accounts and retain  (manage churn) according to company’s defined process

Effective at leveraging technology (web, electronic media, conferencing) and systems/tools that increase sales efficiency and effectiveness.
