Job Description:

Profile: Our client is a transport company situated on the south shore and is looking for a recruiter to take care of all of their needs, mostly notably, the hiring of drivers and warehouse personnel. The individual needs to have experience within our industry, in fact, be able to evaluate drivers on the road prior to hiring them.

  • Focus efforts on the recruitment of drivers  
  • Use the different recruitment tools online and offline to attract talent
  • Use 3rd party recruitment firms where necessary
  • Evaluate drivers'  competences during test-drive
  • Perform the necessary background checks
  • Ensure that the drivers have a strong sense of customer service
  • Interview prospective candidates
  • Make recommendations
  • Prepare job offers
  • Participate in job fairs

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: N/A

Road vs Office: 10% vs 90%

Languages: French and English

Education: College degree or equivalent experience

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: Very little overnight travel required

Years’ of experience: 1-3 years' experience needed

Other requirements: If you have experience as a Class 1 driver, that is an asset

Transferable contacts: N/A

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Dangerous materials training (WHMIS)  is an asset
  • Experience in transport is a must
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office
