Job Description:

Profile: Our client is a distributor of heavy equipment leased to commercial clients and transport companies. We are looking for a senior sales rep to find and develop new business and take care of a small base of clients.

Territory: West of Three rivers and Drummondville, Sherbrooke and Abitibi

Work Place: North Shore

Products/Services:   Heavy equipment leasing

Salary: Base $80,000

Commissions/Bonus: $20,000 per year

Car allowance: km reimbursement

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Cold call on potential commercial clients
  • Visit and service existing base of customers
  • Meet with decision maker; often company owners and senior officers
  • Work on long-term opportunities; perform market research in an effort to fill prepare your funnel
  • Prepare proposals and requests for proposals
  • Represent the company at different business functions such as trade shows

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 70% vs 30%

Road vs Office: 65% vs 35%

Languages: French and English both written and spoken

Education: College degree or equivalent experience

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: Less than 10% overnight travel needed

Years’ of experience: 10+ years sales experience in a similar industry

Other requirements:

  • technical in nature
  • possesses a track record of overachieving in sales
  • able to build long term relationships
  • able to work with partners and provide customer service

Transferable contacts: Knows the heavy equipment, trucks, or trailer business

Transferable Knowledge:

  • knows the industrial market in and around Quebec
  • is familiar using a CRM
  • is familiar with fleet sales
