Job Description:

Profile: I am looking for a "carrot versus a stick" sales manager to manage a team of sales people across Canada. My client sells telecom hardware to other telecom companies and you would oversee  their mid-market accounts. You're good at KPI management, you bring value to sales people's lives and they want to bring you to clients. You are also firm and fair. You know how to measure activities, set minimum standards and you live "work hard, play hard".

Territory: Canada

Salary: Base $90,000

Commissions/Bonus: $40,000 at 100% of plan, uncapped commissions

Car allowance: $500/month

Expenses reimbursement: All expenses reimbursed

  • Implement and drive a disciplined , metrics-based sales management process
  • Establish account coverage targets
  • Provide accurate forecasts
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings where opportunities are discussed in an effort to advance them
  • Manage, train and coach a team of outside sales reps
  • Assist sales people by attending customer meetings and adding value
  • Work with internal stakeholders  
  • Manage client care, customer satisfaction and order processing

Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%

Road vs Office: 30% vs 70%

Languages: French and English

Education: University degree or equivalent experience needed

Training: On the job training provided but must come with industry experience

Overnight Travel: Up to 20% overnight travel required

Years’ of experience: 3+ years of successful sales management is a must

Other requirements: You have a process for sales management

Transferable contacts: N/A

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Experienced in KPI management for an outside sales team
  • Knowledge of network solutions as it pertains to telecom
