Job Description:

Profile: We are an internationally well-known brand of a high-end food and we are looking to hire a Channel sales rep who will be responsible for managing distributors and selling to professionals and bakeries across Canada. We work with specialty distributors who are known for gourmet products and you will be responsible for guiding them. In addition, you will work with professionals (primarily chefs) who work with our products to create their masterpieces. You are used to selling high end or luxury food items and preferably have dealt with multiple brands.  This role is ideally for someone who is a "foodie", has sold into distributors and it's a gourmet product.

Territory: Canada

Work Place: Home office

Products/Services: High-end/luxury food

Salary: $50,000-$60,000

  • In conjunction with distributors, define target prospects and identify them
  • Select products most suited for each market
  • Train the distributors sales people
  • Visit customers and prospects as a brand ambassador
  • Organize targeted promotional activities
  • Organize and coordinate courses for pastry chefs
  • Organize and attend trade shows
  • Manage budgets for your events
  • Input information into Salesforce on a regular basis

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%

Road vs Office:  70% vs 30%

Languages: French and English

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: Up to 50% overnight travel

Years’ of experience: 4-5 years in sales, specifically in high-end or gourmet food products

Other requirements: Experience selling in selling multiple brands would be an asset
