Job Description:

Profile: Our client;a start-up is looking for a business development rep who will sell their marketing and communications SaaS solutions to medium and large organizations.You will be selling to the communications department and preferably to the chief communications and digital officers. The company has had some great successes in Europe and are leveraging those successes in North America. The ideal candidate has sold a SaaS solution, has sold a marketing solutions, has been in a business development role and has a successful track record to show.

Territory: North America

Work Place: Montreal

Products/Services: SaaS software

Salary: Base $50,000

Commissions/Bonus: Target income year 1= $110,000

Car allowance: KM reimbursement

Expenses reimbursement: All travel related expenses reimbursed

  • Generate new prospects using social media and your own contacts
  • Build and manage your pipeline to always include short, medium and long term opportunities
  • Focus on identifying "C" level decision makers
  • Identify public relations, digital marketing and communications decision makers
  • Activate your network
  • Qualify prospects especially in the luxury consumer goods, automobile and wine and spirits industry
  • Update company CRM regularly
  • Communicate and work closely with Sales director and other team members

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance:90% vs 20%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: English or French

Education: College degree or equivalent work experience

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: Less than 15% overnight travel required. You will use technology for meetings such as Webinars.

Years’ of experience:3-5 years' experience in a similar position

Other requirements: Experience selling at different levels within an organization

Transferable contacts: You have sold to marketing and communications in the past

Transferable Knowledge:

  • You are a self-starter but remain accountable to your organization
  • You can quickly identify the low-hanging fruit
  • You are passionate
  • You are trustworthy and will represent the company well
