Job Description:

Profile: Our client sells end-to-end point of sale hardware and software to a variety of retailers. We are looking for a sales rep who will sell to mid and large sized retailers with one or multiple locations. The ideal rep understands the pain points of retailers, is strategic in nature and can work a sales cycle which is between 3 and 6 months.

Territory: Montreal and surroundings

Work Place: Montreal

Products/Services: Point of sale (POS) hardware and software

Salary: Base $50,000

Commissions/Bonus: $50,000 paid quarterly, uncapped commissions

Car allowance: $500/month + $0.12/km

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Seek and develop retail clients
  • Partner closely with them
  • Sell applications, software and hardware
  • Develop proposals
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements
  • Partner with internal resources, technical in nature, for support
  • Provide accurate forecasts monthly  
  • Input and update information in CRM

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 80% vs 20%

Road vs Office: 70% vs 30%

Languages: French and English

Education: College degree or equivalent experience

Training: Full and complete training provided

Overnight Travel: Very little overnight travel required

Years’ of experience: At least 3 years' having sold to the retail industry

Other requirements: Strong in identifying opportunities, solution selling skills

Transferable contacts: Experience selling a solution to retail organizations is a must

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of POS systems is an asset
  • Experience selling to retailers with multi-location is an asset
  • Can demonstrate strategic selling skills
