Job Description:

Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of orthopedic products (prosthetics and braces). We improve the quality of life of our clients. The role of the sales rep is threefold; selling hospitals, selling to retail distributors and selling to orthopedic surgeons. The role of the rep is quite hands on and involves training, lending support to the stores and influencing the surgeons by teaching them about our products. The successful rep is a mix of sales, technical and training. The successful rep is someone who has an interest in anatomy, has some knowledge of biology and has sold to the same kind of clients.

Territory: Province of Quebec but mainly Montreal

Work Place: Home office

Products/Services: Orthopedic products

Salary: Base $65,000- $100,000 depending on experience

Commissions/Bonus:   $30,000 annually

Car allowance: $650/month + gas

Expenses reimbursement: All expenses reimbursed

  • Develop strategies to call on hospitals which include purchasing and prescribing entities
  • Identify and support orthotists in your territory by lending full support which includes education and training
  • Call on orthopedic surgeons to introduce them to our products and train them
  • Troubleshoot issues and problems that come up
  • Assists with fittings where need be
  • Perform demos
  • Make sales presentations to dealer network
  • Make presentations to health professionals
  • Input all sales opportunities into CRM
  • Respond promptly to internal and external customers
  • Attain and exceed sales targets

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%

Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%

Languages: French and English

Education: Bachelor's degree , preferably in life science or

business discipline

Training: Extensive training provided and must commit self-learning

Overnight Travel: Less than 10% overnight travel needed

Years’ of experience: 3+ years in direct sales in medical products
