Job Description:

Profile: Our client is looking for an account manager who has experience in chemicals sold to the packaging industry. Your role will be to manage a group of 40 clients. It is   is twofold; manage their growth and seek out new opportunities outside of this group. The ideal candidate is technical and can have technical conversations with clients. Knowledge of the adhesives industry/products is an asset.

Territory:Quebec & Maritimes

Work Place: Home Office

Products/Services: Chemicals


Commissions/Bonus: $5,000 this year and up to $20,000 in

subsequent years at 100%

Car allowance: Vehicle + gas card provided

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Proactively visit customer base
  • Uncover new applications and sell them
  • Engage technical resources when needed
  • Support customers post-sale

  • Engage engineers,operator and buying group at client
  • Troubleshoot problems with your clients
  • Provide regular reports to management

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 30% vs 70%

Road vs Office: 70% vs 30%

Languages: French and English

Education: College degree or equivalent experience needed

Training: Full and detailed training provided

Overnight Travel: Up to 50% overnight travel required

Years’ of experience: 2-3 years' experience selling chemicals and  adhesives needed

Other requirement:

  • Proven track record in sales
  • Self-driven
