Job Description:

Our client is a manufacturer of building materials sold to wholesalers, retailers, contractors, specialized boutiques and architects and designers. You will be given an established territory and your job is to keep those customers delighted and grow the revenue base by prospecting new projects.

This position is a one-year  maternity leave replacement with possibility of obtaining a permanent position, depending on the results as well as the growth of the company. We are looking for someone to start from March 2018.

Territory:    North Shore

Work Place: Home office

Products/Services: Building materials

Salary: Base $45,000-$55,000

Commissions/Bonus: $15,000  - $25,000

Car allowance: Reimbursement of $0.44 km

Expenses reimbursement:All travel expenses reimbursed

4 weeks vacation


Manage territory which includes regular planned visits to clients

Presentation of new products

Prospecting for new opportunities with builders and contractors

Presentation of our catalogue

Set up and run lunch and learns with specifiers and people who can influence the sale of our products

Ensure after-sales service is provided

Ensure the development, retention and satisfaction of our clients

Maintain a healthy amount of activity via face to face with clients and prospects

Ensure that the CRM is updated regularly.

Job Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 30% vs 70%

Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%

Languages: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)

Education: DEC or equivalent experience required

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: No overnight travel required

Years of experience:

At least 3 years b2b selling experience required

Has verifiable track record of success

Other requirements:

Quota driven


Service oriented (you respond quickly to your clients)

Equally comfortable in a boardroom making presentations as well as in front of contractors

Comfortable using a CRM

Transferable Knowledge:

Knowledge of the designer community would be an asset
