Job Description:

Profile: Our client is an international  manufacturer of solutions for the food industry. This large company, has been able to make its place in the food market for over hundred years, they offer excellent conditions and are very oriented towards a corporate culture that preaches towards employees. They are currently looking for a Key Account Manager for Quebec City; You will be responsible for both large distributors and end users, as well as maintaining growth by seeking new accounts in a geographic territory. We are looking for someone who understands the food  industry with 3 to 5 years of experience as an account manager.

Territory: Quebec city and surroundings

Work Place: Home office

Products/Services: Food manufacturer

Salary: $55, 000 to $65, 000

Commissions/Bonus: N/A

Car allowance: Car provided

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed

  • Provide support to existing customers
  • Take order on site if required
  • Participate in food related trade shows (if required)
  • Submit weekly call reports
  • Input call reports into our house system
  • Plan and prioritize daily activities
  • Attain all sales objectives
  • Responsible for the business development of new accounts
  • Presentation of the booking and new products launch
  • Work in collaboration with other internal departement, such as quality control department.

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 20% VS 80%

Road vs Office: 80% VS 20%

Languages: Both French and English (written and spoken)

Education: College degree

Training: On the job training

Overnight Travel: 10-15% overnight travel will be required

Years’ of experience: 3 to 5 years experience in the food industry

Other requirements:

-Must be proactive and go-getter

-Strong interpersonal skills

-Autonomous and independent but can follow policies

-Team player

Transferable contacts: Contacts within the industry will be an asset

Transferable Knowledge: Knowledge of the food industry is a must
