Job Description:

Profile:  Our client is in the laboratory management field, specifically in the laboratory information systems field and we are looking for an Account Manager to sell to both private and hospital laboratories. If you have experience selling to these kinds of clients and have a science background, this is the kind of candidate we seek.

Territory: Canada & US

Work Place: Montreal and home office

  • Develop a portfolio of clients by prospecting new as well as existing clients
  • Identify company needs
  • Establish and build strong relationships with your clients
  • Respond to public RFPs
  • Demo our products and services
  • Participate in trade shows
  • Negotiate and close sales
  • Provide bi-weekly sales reports
  • Regularly update CRM

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: French and English (bilingualism)

Education: bachelor's degree in biology/microbiology or technical studies in laboratory sciences

Training: Full and complete training provided

Overnight Travel: 20-25% overnight travel

Years’ of experience: 3-4 years relevant experience necessary

Other requirements: You are familiar with working with a CRM and Microsoft office suite

Transferable contacts: You must have sold to labs in the past

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the inner workings of laboratories
  • Knowledge of biology/microbiology and/or laboratory tech
