Job Description:

Profile: Our client is a wholesaler of quality flooring and is looking for a sales rep from the industry to sell to retailers, lumber yards and specialty retail stores. You must be able to demonstrate that you can sell a quality product and its benefits. You must be able to build a detailed business plan on how you intend to work your territory.

Territory: Montreal and surroundings

Work Place: Home office

Products/Services: Flooring

Salary: Base $50,000-$55,000

Commissions/Bonus: Target income $100,000, commissions paid monthly

Car allowance: Will reimburse your lease + gas card or km reimbursement

Expenses reimbursement: All company expenses reimbursed

Other Benefits:  Medical and dental paid 80% by the company



Responsible for achieving sales goals while maintaining required profit margins

Work closely with internal sales representatives, marketing team, and credit management team to ensure profitability while delivering exceptional customer services.

Understand and influence all gross sales and disconnect activity in the assigned territory

Analyze market trends, competition, threats and opportunities in the marketplace

Provide technical information and product support, including assistance with merchandising dealer’s showrooms

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 90% vs 10%

Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%

Languages: French and English

Education: College degree or equivalent experience needed

Training: On the job will be provided but need someone from the industry

Overnight Travel: Very little overnight required

Years’ of experience: 5+ years of experience in the industry needed

Other requirements: You can demonstrate that you can sell value and not just on price

Transferable contacts: You know the major retailers for flooring in and around Montreal

Transferable Knowledge: You know the market, you know the retailers, you know the products
