Company Profile:

Our client is a global manufacturer of resin and is looking for an experienced rep from the industry to cover a customer base of about 75 clients from the province of Quebec to the Maritimes and parts of New England and New York. You will be responsible for the sales and service of products to the established customer base and selected target accounts within the geographic territory assigned

Functions:

Coordinate all supporting areas ofthe company; (e.g., R&D, tech service, customer service, production, credit, etc.) to allow for successful territory management and optimum customer satisfaction profitability.
Understand both direct and distribution channels and possess the business acumen to manage both optimally to achieve his/her business plan.

Translate the information on company technical data sheets into the characteristics required by the customer process and end product.
Forecast anticipated sales for the coming year and provide a 90-day forecast by product, by customer.
Provide market intelligence that will enable management to determine market share by geographical area within the region and by the minor market category; i.e., marine, tub/shower, distribution, etc
Determine the competitive pricing at the individual account and what our commercial offering needs to be to maintain or secure, as the case warrants
Determine the best manner in servicing accounts; i.e., channel, servicing plant, transportation, technical support, management match-up, etc

Job Requirements:

Academic University grad/Bachelor degree equivalency *Background in chemistry is a huge asset *Technical degree an asset
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience At least 4 years in the industry as a technical sales person
  Must be a strong relationship builder
Assertive but not arrogant
High energy
Astute
Technical in nature
