Job Description:

Profile: Our client provides specialized transportation services and are looking for a sales rep to join their team. This 100% business development role is for someone who is creative in their problem solving because what we transport tends to be non-standard. You must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Territory: Open territory

Work Place: Montreal

Products/Services: Specialized Transportation Services

Salary: $40 000 to $45 000

Commissions/Bonus: Annually $70 000 to $80 000

Car allowance: $/km allocated

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Prospection of new clients and markets

Secure existing customers

Analysis and identification of client needs

Writing of   bids and transportation plans

Propose different solutions in transport

Perform customer service as needed

Involve operations and project management as needed

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 100% vs 0%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)

Education: Cegep degree would be an asset

Training: On the job training provided but must have industry experience.

Overnight Travel: Less than 15% overnight travel

Years’ of experience: Two (2) years of experience in sales in the transportation (brokerage experience a plus) industry in exploration and development of markets

Other requirements:

Ability to negotiate andcommunicate;

Experience in customer service

Transferable contacts: Would be an asset

Transferable Knowledge:

Knowledge of the trucking/transport industry
Knowledge of custom transport needs in a variety of industries
Knowledge of commonly used software found in Office
