Job Description:

Profile:  Our client is a leading manufacturer of equipment and consumables sold to food retailers. We are looking for a service manager who will manage a team of technicians and work hand in hand with the sales team to maintain customer satisfaction. You will be a problem-solving resource. Territory: Province of Quebec but mostly Montreal

Work Place: Montreal

Products/Services: Food equipment and consumables

Salary: $75,000 to $80,000

Commissions/Bonus: $300/month by upselling parts and service

Car allowance: $700/month + gas card

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Manage and monitor service dispatch system

Manage overtime and on call and ensure that you are on budget

Ensure that your field technicians' training and development is being done regularly

Manage and maintain service partners

Ensure that all service vehicles are properly maintained

Work in collaboration with the sales team

Participate in service meetings

Job Requirements:


Road vs Office: 70% vs 30%

Languages: French and English

Education: Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: Less than 15% overnight travel required

Years’ of experience: 10 years service experience required

Other requirements: You have demonstrated strong leadership skills and have worked in change management

Transferable contacts: N/A

Transferable Knowledge: Knowledge of the retail food business is a huge asset, polite, tactful, friendly nature, calm and knows how to motivate staff
