Our client is a steel service center looking to hire an inside sales rep who will be assigned their own set of accounts and will be responsible for upselling them and finding new business. This role is for someone who has street smarts versus technical sales. Phone time is essential and those inside sales people that spend 10 hours per week of actual phone time along with minimizing lengthy conversations (over 8 minutes) are usually the most successful.

Functions:

Responsible for 150 current accounts and 50 potentials ones
Negotiated sales (minimum selling prices are supplied) and sales person attempts to maximize the sales price. No price book to work from.
You will handle between 350-500 calls per month inbound and must make outcalls and offers to existing customers
Document a minimum of 20 outcalls per week on target accounts and to make at least five product offerings per week
Enter orders into the system accurately
Make offers to customers when there is a surplus of inventory
Grow existing accounts while growing the overall business
Understand customers'future projects and plans so that we can be included in future quotes

Job Requirements:

Academic *College degree with emphasis on marketing/business
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience Minimum 5 years expereince in a similar role
  Must have a track record that demonstrates loyalty. Not interested in individuals that jump from company to company.
Assertive individual who must be able to problem solve quickly
Must be good at objection handling.
