Job Description:

Profile: Our client is an electrical distributor and is looking for a business development rep in the province of Quebec for a specific division. They provide electrical components and systems to their clients such as industrial, construction and manufacturers working on new construction, renovation and the maintenance of industrial plants, commercial buildings and homes.

Territory: Province of Quebec

Work Place: Montreal

Products/Services: Distributor of electrical components and systems

Salary: $70 000

Commissions/Bonus: $10 500

Car allowance: $/KM

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed by the employer

Upselling to existing and new customers while assisting  the outside sales rep  

Provide technical presentations to customers

Assist sales team with quotations

Stay  updated regarding different technical products and competitors

Evaluate and manage business opportunities and potential projects

Provide technical training to inside sales rep and purchasing department

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 80% VS 20%

Road vs Office: 80% VS 20%

Languages: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)

Education: College degree in electrodynamic or automatisation

Training: Full training available but must come from the industry

Overnight Travel: 5 à 10%

Years’ of experience: 2 or 3 years of B2B sales experience

Other requirements:

Strong communication skills

Knowledge of MS office

Technical skills

Customer service experience

Transferable contacts: A base of contacts in the industry would be an asset

Transferable Knowledge: Knowledge of the product, the market, the competitors in the electrical / automation field needed
