Job Description:

Profile: Our client is an electrical distributor and is looking for a business development rep  for Laval and surroundings  in a specific division. They provide electrical components and systems to their clients such as industrial, construction and manufacturers working on new construction, renovation and the maintenance of industrial plants, commercial buildings and homes.

Territory: Laval and surroundings

Work Place: Laval

Products/Services: Distributor of electrical components and systems

Salary: $50 000 to $60 000

Commissions/Bonus: $15 000

Car allowance: $/KM

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed by the employer

Prospection of new customers in the entreprenarial divison

Insure sales  to existing and new customers in a given  territory

Provide technical presentations to clients

Stay  updated regarding different technical products and competitors

Evaluate and manage new business opportunities

Provide solutions to insure client satisfaction while working hand in hand with inside sales and purchasing departments

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 100% VS 0%

Road vs Office: 80% VS 20%

Languages: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)

Education: College degree in a technical field is an asset

Training: Full training available but must come from the industry

Overnight Travel: 5 à 10%

Years’ of experience:  3 or  5 years of B2B sales experience, in the electrical field

Other requirements:

Strong judgement

Strong communication and negociation  skills

Knowledge of MS office

Technical skills

Customer service oriented

Transferable contacts: A base of contacts in the industry would be an asset

Transferable Knowledge: Knowledge of the product, the market, the competitors in the electrical / automation field needed
