Our client is a manufacturer of construction materials and is looking for a sales manager to manage a team of on the road sales people. The candidate can be located in either Montreal or Quebec city. We are looking for a strong manager who can bring best in class sales management practices to the table. If you are strong in performace management, coaching, driving appropriate behaviour and setting sales objectives, then this may be the position for you.

Functions:

Manage a team of sales representative using coaching, dual calls activity mananagement etc.
Increase the number a weekly sales calls by the entire sales force
Help identify and evaluate new areas of opportunity for the team
Evaluate and, if needed, take corrective measures with non performers
Introduce an aggressive culture of competition and achievement among Account Managers / Sales Representatives.
Build, implement and monitor sales metrics (ex: face to face calls per week, new business calls)
Implement strategic selling in order to grow revenue from existing customers
Develop product knowledge both as an individual and among Account Managers / Sales Representatives.

Job Requirements:

Academic The candidate must have a university degree in marketing or any other related field.
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of sales & marketing experience with 5 of those in management
  ?Strong leadership skills ?Work with limited guidelines from corporate office ?Computer literate. ?Excellent communication and organizational/analytical skills.
