Our client is a worlwdwide distributor of wire and cable and is looking for a unique individual who will not only act as an account manager but will spend about 20% of their time managing customer service in Montreal and Toronto.Our client is customer driven and is looking for someone who has demonstrated the ability to build long term relationships. This hybrid role of player/coach requires someone with a strong sense of the customer and in turn you will be provided with a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities. This leadership role's primary objectives are customer service and sales.

Functions:

Develop a territory/market annual sales plan , consistent with the goals and objectives of the Company, to be reviewed and updated quarterly with the President
Develop and implement sales strategies for developing business within existing and new customers within his or her assigned territories
Assist Customer Service Director in creating and implementing metrics, standard policies and procedures leading to superior response time and quality to all company internal and external customers.
Direct the activities of Account Representatives and Customer Service Representatives in a coordinated fashion; establish responsibilities, yearly goals, objectives and time frames to help fulfill the annual plan and meet the requirements of the Quality Management System.
Meet face to face with customers and prospects at least 20% of time on the job.
Utilize an advanced knowledge of our products and services to analyze customer needs and opportunities.
Ensure that orders and quotes are processed on a timely basis.
Directly enter customer orders into the computer system as appropriate
Working collaboratively with Purchasing to prepare the quotation/bid package.
Work collaboratively with the President to maintain and increase sales to existing customers within assigned territory.
Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery within Company guidelines in order to maximize sales volume and margins.
Maintain credit as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

Academic Minimum college degree required or equivalent work experience needed
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience Minimum 5 years experience within a distribution model
  Must be able to travel to the U.S
Diligent in building strategic competitive advantage through the creation, maintenance and management of current customers and their profiles within the CRM
Knows how business works
Able to build long term relationships with customers
You are known for your exceptional customer service skills
Must be computer literate
You have an apetite to learn
