Company Profile:

Our client operates a network of design centers that sell furniture and is looking for a Sales Manager to manage a design center in Montreal. You are a designer with a background in sales and management and reporting to you will be between 7 to 9 designers. Your role is to manage the center, manage the inflow of customers into the retail outlet and follow the ongoing projects. In addition to the designers, you will manage a merchandiser, customer service and cleaning staff. Please note because of the retail aspect of this positions, days off are Sundays and Mondays.


Follow operational policies and procedures to ensure fiscal control, security of company assets, inventory management and design center safety
Supervise the functions of Visual Merchandiser position to ensure brand projection is consistent with policy guidelines.
Evaluate and provide direction for designer performance in accordance with company policy.
Work with your manager and/or human resources to consistently implement disciplinary action and performance management in accordance with company guidelines
Effectively manage customer contacts and relationships to improve customer service, build sales volume, improve designer effectiveness, and increase overall customer satisfaction
Manage the designes to increase the overall performance of the Design Center
Maintain clear lines of communication with your manager on sales, performance issues and customer service
Accountable to achieve sales goals through the development, training and coaching of all designers

Job Requirements:

Academic Interior design education, two or four year degree, from an accredited institution and eligible for CQRID or NCIDQ certification
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience 10 years, combined, practical interior design experience
3-5 years management experience
  An entrepreneurial attitude and approach with strong communication and organizational skills
Team leadership and the ability to manage the design process including the ability to review and provide feedback on design projects using technical and creative skills in color and space planning.
Must possess valid driver’s license with a good driving record and provide own transportation.
