Job Description:

Profile: Our client provides logistics solutions to a variety of industries and is looking to fill a newly created position of Group Sales Director. This individual is responsible for heading up a small group of account managers and spearheading the sales strategy into the  aerospace sector. Your role will be to build a strategy to identify  aerospace sector clients, up sell and cross sell  into the  aerospace sector clients we already have and to manage your team who are also  focused on the  aerospace sector. You will spend 30-40% of your time managing and the balance building and executing on a strategy to penetrate your vertical. You are active in selling

Territory: Vertical territory of  aerospace clients

Work Place: Montreal

Salary: $115,000-$125,000

Commissions/Bonus: 40% of base salary

Car allowance: Vehicle provided or car allowance + fuel paid

Functions:

  • Serve as a customer industry champion developing sales strategies for the industry group under his/her responsibility, in the case the aerospace sector
  • Maintain industry and account market knowledge.
  • Lead the development of account plans for the major accounts under the industry portfolio, develop and manage relationships with senior logistics decision maker’s, and optimize the sales potential of these accounts
  • Lead a team of Account managers who will be tasked with managing accounts and developing new business.  The Group Sales Director will be assigned specific major accounts as well
  • Develop sales budgets and annual sales plans
  • Hire, develop and train new salespeople  on their team
  • Communicate closely with operations and finance to ensure that we can service the customers' needs.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 40%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: French and English (written and spoken required)

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred

Training: Training will be provided

Overnight Travel: less than 25%

Years’ of experience: At least 5 years' in a consultative selling position with a positive track record  and sales management experience

Other requirements: You must have successfully sold into the  aerospace sector to be considered for this role.

Transferable contacts: contacts at many levels within the  aerospace sector necessary

Transferable Knowledge:  

  • Consultative sales approach
  • Track record of managing large complex accounts
  • Experience managing a sales team
