Company Profile:

Our client is a manufacturer of various heat-tracing and fire and performance wiring. The company sells the systems but also sell their value added services such as the engineering and installation. The Area Sales Manager's role is to support the dealer network in Quebec, educate the engineers who spec projects and sell to end users.

Functions:

Sell existing and acquired products to maximize marginal EBIT (i.e. throughput).
Manage and train sales channels.
Manage customer relationships.
Identify and sell projects.
Integrate acquired products & channels into the sales plan.
Establish primary sales relationships with our customers within sales territory.
Present professional sales presentations to our customers.
Strive to “Make the Numbers”, investigate alternates, and develop new business.
Identify potential marketplace opportunities and develop new accounts.
Develop customer programs, recommend pricing levels and participate in coop advertising programs, and trade shows as appropriate.
Resolve customer requests / issues by facilitating appropriate interface with credit, manufacturing, engineering, order entry, etc…
Generate market intelligence, recommend actions to maintain competitive position, and identify preferred market segments and account base.
Work with product / marketing teams and sales channels to assist in forecasting and selling of assigned products.
Development of sales plans, operational plans, and strategic plans for the applicable product groups.
Establish and conduct product training programs with our customers.
Maintain an ethical and professional relationship with all customers and external contacts.
Perform other tasks that are reasonable to the job as requested by Direct Management.

Job Requirements:

Academic * Collegial or University degree in industrial electronics, electrique, mechanical or industrial engineering. * Bachelor in business would be an asset.
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken).
Experience 3 to 5 years technical sales experience, ideally in the Industrial Heating and/or Wiring Industry au engineering services.
  Excellent people skills, good team skills.
Motivated, energetic, quick learner, self-starter, works independently with minimal direction.
