Company Profile:

Our client is a national distributor for hair and beauty products. Their clients include salons, spas and schools. The National Sales Manager will manage a team of 10 sales people across Canada and be involved in the analysis of products, product launches and product promotions.


Reporting directly to the President, manage a team of 9 Sales Representatives across Canada.
Respond promptly to all inquiries from Sales Representatives.
Plan monthly National Conference Calls to explain new products and to discuss matters of mutual interest based on a pre-prepared agenda.
Plan monthly Regional Conference Calls to discuss regional-specific sales strategies, other matters of mutual interest, and the following points: • Major problems in the region. • Major opportunities in the region. • Major selling successes of the month.
Plan semi-annual National Sales Meetings.
Review Sales Representatives' Weekly Reports and incorporate into sales strategies.
Issue bi-weekly Sales Summaries of outstanding issues for each Sales Representatives.
Schedule weekly 1-on-1 conference calls with every Sales Representatives. Discuss the past and upcoming weeks, possible problem areas in the territory and strategies.
Communicate any information on new products and trends after analyzing the sales and inventory reports. Highlight any area(s) that need specific attention.
Conduct semi-annual, face-to-face meetings with Sales Representatives (one full day) to review sales information and sales results versus the objectives by major product category.
Discuss the highlights of the marketing initiatives (Bi-Monthly and What’s New campaigns).
Visit the sales territories at least twice per year: visit each territory with the Sales Representatives and meet with key accounts to obtain feedback on positive initiatives and areas that need improvement.
Dealer promotional flyers: Ensure that all requested special pricing is advertised in dealers’ promotional flyer.
Recruit, manage, train, and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures and policies.
Weekly Report: Due every Sunday by 8:00 p.m.

Job Requirements:

Academic University degree required.
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience Minimum 5 years experience of sales management experience in the beauty industry.
Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
  Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Strong team-work focus.
Displays high initiative requiring minimal supervision.
