Our client is a long-standing manufacturer and distributor of industrial equipment and supplies targetted to all industries but in particular to the transit and metal working industries. They are looking for a solid sales manager who can manage both outside and inside sales representatives in Montreal,Toronto and Calgary. You must be a natural leader who can manage your team and your business without "hand holding". We are looking for a sales manager who likes to get their hands "dirty"; someone who likes being on the road with the reps and helping them get better at what they do.

Functions:

Develop and support your sales team
Will use extensive sales/ordering data to develop a sales plan and strategy
Accompanies reps on the road and gives constructive feedback
Assist sales people in getting to 20% profitable growth
Monitor sales activities and adjust accordingly
Directs performance evaluations
Interact with other departments to ensure maximum customer service
Visit top customers with reps in an effort to understanding their evolving needs
Perform customer segmentation in an effort to understand where sales people should spend their time and effort

Job Requirements:

Academic *College degree or equivalent experience required
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience 5 to 7 years experience as a Sales manager
  Must be self-motivated
Must be independant
Must set an example for their reps
Must have a high level of energy
Can take the lead and handle responsibility
Can adapt to a chaotic fast-changing environment
