Company Profile:

Our client is a national distributor of medical/surgical equipment. They are looking for a GM who is well versed in selling similar equipment to hospitals. As GM you will be heavily involved in sales but also will run the business from A to Z. You will have full P&L responisbility, staffing, operations and manage client relationships. As this is a national role, there will be significant travel (about 75% overnight).

Functions:

Develop a business plan to grow our core products
Research the market and oversee all elements of the operation
Build an effective team to support growth of the business
Seek new customers through business development and marketing activities
Manage existing partnership relationships both with current employees and suppliers
Prospect for new product lines to introduce on the market
Lead and develop strong working relationships with employees in the office and a collaborative team environment.
Create and maintain client relationships and maintain the company's level of professionalism

Job Requirements:

Academic University degree with a business focus or equivalent experience
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience 10 years of relevant medical surgical management and executive business experience
  Entrepreneurial drive and calculated risk taker
Adaptable and able to capitalize on business development opportunities
Demonstrates flexibility, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects
Proactive
Proven track record in sales and operational leadership
