Company Profile:

Our client is one of the world's leading educational tour operators. They have focused their efforts in other countries but now have a plan to build and expand Canada. They are looking for a Canadian Sales Manger with experience in travel, in particular selling to groups to establish the office and build up the team. The successful candidate would work hand in hand with the North American Sales Director, The Director of Operations and the Chairman but will report to the Board of Directors.


Recruiting additional members of the team and establishing the new office.
Reviewing and refining the current database of Canadian High School, College and University contacts.
Reviewing the existing Sales and Marketing Plans for Canada and revising the same where necessary
Preparing new mailing and email marketing pieces.
To create an effective sales team to ensure all inquiries are responded to and follow ups monitored.
Making preparations for and training personnel for sales visits.
Setting sales targets for each member of the sales team.
Working with our Finance Director to prepare a budget for the new division to rapidly grow the existing 2011 target.

Job Requirements:

Academic *University degree or relevant work experience
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience 5 to 7 years successful sales management which may include starting and staffing from scratch
  Have strong attention to detail skills and a track record as an effective administrator.
Be personable, articulate and able to write copy.
Be self-motivated and ambitious – we are not looking for a clock-watcher on a project such as this but someone who will ensure whatever is necessary is done to ‘make it happen’.
Have strong database and keyboard skills


Commission plan to be determined with the candidate
Guaranteed commissions for up to 6 months
