Territory: Ottawa and east
Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00
Monthly commissions + bonus: $0.00
Quarterly commissions + bonus: $0.00
Annual commissions + bonus: $12,500.00
Car allowance: $700.00 / month
Public relations expenses: All reasonable expenses covered

Company profile
Our client is a manufacturer of decorative products found in most homes. They manufacture and distribute their products across Eastern Canada and are looking for a Key Account Manager to deal with their 5 biggest distributors and 500 smaller accounts. You will be selling through distributors, large OEMs, Art Material dealers and regional chains.
Training:
*1 week training program in the U.S
Requirements
Academic: *College degree preferred
# years of experience: *5+ years in the arts and crafts, housewares, paints, framing or wallpaper industry
Language: Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Transferable contacts: N/A
Transferable knowledge: *Experience in selling through distributors and executing pull through programs
Travel (time): *Up to 50% overnight travel required throughout Eastern Canada (Ottawa, Quebec, Newfoundland,Labrador,New Brunswick,Nova Scotia & PEI)
Other: *Someone with an artsy background with either colour, design or decorating would be ideal for this position
Function
Development vs maintenance (%): 10% vs 90%
Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%
Other 1: *Implement marketing programs as defined by headquarters *Secure new product placement at appropriate accounts
Other 2: *Gain distribution and create demand for our products in indirect accounts (customer framers and OEM's) *Evaluate market conditions and develop programs for increased sales
Other 3: *Train/motivate distributor inside and outside sales departments to provide sales coverage *Identify distributor resources best suited for growth company products and develop programs to utilize these resources *Provide timely and accurate report on sales, market conditions and competition actions
Other 4: *Evaluate and review all customer pricing for opportunities and recommendations *Identify potential new distributors where necessary
