Why You Should Not Give Up Your Job Hunt During the Holidays: 1. During the holiday season, more people are relaxed and are in better moods; that should give you an easier in to see the hiring managers for a first interview. 2. Keep in mind not everyone is on vacation. It’s a busy time for some people and they take advantage of the fact that their coworkers are not there to catch up on things, so their workload is lighter and are getting fewer interruptions. So make that call, send that resume. Take into consideration that your competition may be on vacation. Again, you are getting there first. 3. At the end of the year, a lot of jobs come up; you would be one of the first people to get in on that job opportunity. 4. You have something in common with that hiring manager; you are both working during the holiday season. Take advantage of that commonality. Show up. Keep calling. Keep sending those resumes. There are a lot of opportunities out there. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I am Dawn Williams. I can be reached on LinkedIn and Twitter. Happy Selling!
