Profile: Our client sells cloud-based software to corporate legal professionals and are looking for an Account Executive in Calgary who has sold software to a line of business. The Account executive needs to be adept at selling and maintaining a healthy funnel of prospects, all the while upselling and cross selling into your base of existing customers. You have a strong track record of software sales.

Salary: Base $80,000- $100,000
Commissions/Bonus: $64,000 at 100%, uncapped commissions
Car allowance: $0.60/km

Functions:
  • Meet and/or exceed sales quota
  • Call on existing clients and uncover needs for additional services and products
  • Identify target accounts within your territory
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline, as set out by your manager
  • Position company products and services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships
  • Update CRM (Salesforce) regularly
  • Maintain, company-set KPIs
  • Forecast sales, monthly

  
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 40% (development within existing accounts as well)
Road vs Office: 40% vs 60%
Languages: Excellent written and spoken English
Education: University degree of equivalent experience preferred
Training: Full on the job training provided
Overnight Travel:  approximately 15 nights per year
Years of experience:
Other requirements: At least 5 years in a similar role with a track record
Transferable contacts: Has sold into corporate business units
Transferable Knowledge:
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of territory planning and forecasting
  • Ability to collaborate across different departments
