Profile: Our client is a manufacturer in the valve industry and is looking for a bilingual Montreal-based account manager who will be responsible for growing a customer base, responding to RFQ's and growing revenue. You will be responsible for executing on the existing strategy, providing technical assistance and increasing our visibility, within the customer base. 

Territory: Eastern Canada (based in Montreal)
Workplace: Hybrid (Montreal based but in-office for training)
Products/Services: Valves 
Salary: Base $100,000-$120,000
Commissions/Bonus: $15,000 at plan + uncapped commissions
Car allowance: $500/month
Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Lead the entire sales process, from finding potential customers, creating quotes, following up, to closing deals and exceeding sales targets
  • Manage current accounts in your area and find new opportunities, industries, and partnerships to grow the business.
  • Oversee and assess current distributors and partners. Find and develop new distributors, service centers, and partnerships, including auditing, training, contracts, and business terms.
  • Build and improve relationships with customers by fully understanding their needs.
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend industry trade shows, conferences, and events to showcase our products and network with potential clients and partners.

Development vs Maintenance: 30% new business vs 30% existing customers vs 30% RFQ's vs 10% marketing/admin
Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%
Languages: French and English
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant field
Training: On the job training of up to 3 months
Overnight Travel: Up to 1 week overnight travel per month
Years of experience: 3-5 years of previous pertinent experience in business development
Other requirements: Valve experience is a MUST
Transferable contacts: N/A
Transferable Knowledge:
  • Technical knowledge is a must
  • Excellent written and spoken English and French as you will be responsible for RFQ's
