Profile: Our client sells lab testing services to a variety of industries; home appliances, electronics, automotive, aerospace, ebikes etc and is looking for a Business development representative to sell these services in and around Quebec to manufacturers looking to get their products certified/compliance. Some knowledge of electronics/electrical would be an asset because you will be calling on manufacturers who need to get their products certified/tested before launching on the market.

Territory: Province of Quebec (mostly Montreal and Quebec city)
Workplace: Office presence (North Shore) 4 days and 1 day home office 
Products/Services: Certification & Compliance services
Salary: Base $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience and technical knowledge
Commissions/Bonus: $30,000 at 100% of plan
Car allowance: km reimbursed
Expense’s reimbursement: All travel related expenses reimbursed

Functions:
  • Finding and reaching out to potential clients using both digital tools (like CRM software) and good old-fashioned networking and cold calling.
  • Building strong, trust-based relationships with customers from all kinds of industries.
  • Introducing clients to our top-notch testing services and making sure they understand how we can help them.
  • Invite potential clients to our plant and involve technical staff with demos and presentations
  • Hitting sales targets and playing a key role in growing our company.
  • Using your bilingual skills in French and English to engage with a diverse group of clients.

  
Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 90% vs 10%
Road vs Office: 30% vs 70%
Languages: French and  English (full bilingualism)
Education: College degree or equivalent experience
Training: Several weeks on-site training provided
Overnight Travel: Less than 10% overnight travel
Years of experience: At least 3 years B2B sales experience, preferably selling a technical product/service
Other requirements:
  • Goal-oriented person
  • Highly responsive (responds to requests within a reasonable timeline)
Transferable contacts: N/A
Transferable Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in using a CRM
  • Ability to understand and explain testing to clients within a variety of industries
