Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of textiles and is looking for hire a sales leader to drive growth and strategy through our different channels. The role will drive the adoption of our products among the architects and designers (A&D) community, furniture manufacturers, dealers and hiring and managing a sales team.  The person we seek, already has deep knowledge in this industry and comes to the table with contacts and experience.

Workplace: Work from home(can be located in Montreal, Toronto or Quebec city)

Salary: Base $175,000-$200,000
Commissions/Bonus: 20% of base

Functions:

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate the A&D, distributor, and other influencer segments
• Contribute to influencing product adoption among furniture manufacturers
• Recruit, onboard, train, and coach a sales team to ensure talent retention
• Work hand in hand with the marketing leader and the product team
• Manage the existing and new opportunities, update CRM and ensure sales team members do the same
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with furniture manufacturers to ensure our products are featured in their standard catalogs
• Provide support to sales representatives and/or agencies in managing relationships with these manufacturers
• Identify and prioritize key architecture firms, design studios, and other influential stakeholders to acquire new business
• Proactively reach out to and engage with architects, designers, and furniture dealers to promote our products
• Conduct educational sessions and product training for decision-makers in the A&D community

  
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance: 80% vs 20%
Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%
Languages: Excellent spoken and written English. French is an asset.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Training: On the job training but we expect someone from the industry
Overnight Travel: Between 20-25% overnight travel required within Canada and the US.
Years of experience: At least 10 years experience in business development, sales team management and industry experience required.

Transferable contacts: Contacts within the A&D community is a must
Transferable Knowledge:

• Knowledge of the furniture manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of the distribution models within the office furniture industry
