Profile: Our client manufactures bathroom and kitchen faucets and is looking for a merchandising rep to cover retail outlets (big box stores) on the South Shore of Montreal. The candidate must live in the territory. Your role will be to ensure that our products are well-placed in the stores, manage stock in store, manage returns, train staff etc. The person we seek is hands on and is technical in nature and manual.  Please send your resume in English.

Workplace: Home office (south shore of Montreal)
Products/Services: bathroom and kitchen faucets
Salary: Base $60,000-$65,000
Commissions/Bonus: 10% bonus based on company results
Car allowance: Vehicle + gas card provided
Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Functions:

• Visit stores daily
• Maintain store displays
• Ensure that products are in stock
• Ensure that our products planograms are respected
• Ensure product placement
• Down pack products
• Verify overstock
• Inspect returns
• Bring creative solutions
• Make sure that your stores are well-maintained, especially after the weekend
• Participate in any store opening (rack our products)

  
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance: 20% vs 80%
Road vs Office: 90% vs 10%
Languages: French and English
Education: College degree
Training: Full training provided which includes with HR, video, shadowing and team working
Overnight Travel: Up to 15 days per year
Years of experience: 2-5 years of in-store merchandising service or outside sales experience
Other requirements: 

• Must be able to travel
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Transferable contacts: Experience selling to big box stores is an asset
Transferable Knowledge:

• Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
