Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of industrial goods with a robotics division and is looking for a Sales Engineer who will work with their Canadian sales team members to develop sales opportunities. You will work with reps in Ontario and Quebec and at times, with the rest of Canada. You are technically strong and have worked in a sales engineer support role with salespeople and customers, in the past. You will be working on cutting-edge industrial technologies.
Territory: Canada (with concentration in Ontario and Quebec)
Workplace: Work from home (local to GTA)

Salary: Base $80,000-$90,000
Commissions/Bonus: N/A
Car allowance: $9,000 annually
Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Development vs Maintenance: N/A
Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%
Languages: Excellent written and spoken English
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
Training: Full training program on products provided
Overnight Travel: Up to 25% overnight travel required (2x a quarter)
Years of experience: Min. 5 years of experience in a technical role, ideally in industrial applications
Other requirements: You enjoy collaborating with various teams
Transferable contacts: Experience working with customers face to face is essential
Transferable Knowledge: Experience using either profitnet, Ethernet IP or Modbus communications would be an asset

Functions:
- Work closely with the sales team to provide custom technical solutions that meet customer needs.
- Run customer tests, feasibility studies, and internal testing to understand customer requirements and fine-tune solutions.
- Provide both on-site and remote support, including troubleshooting, installation help, and product demonstrations to keep customers satisfied
- Help identify ways to cut costs by assessing how effective proposed solutions are.
- Keep detailed records of customer tests, successful solutions, and lessons learned to support ongoing improvements.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to showcase our technical expertise and products.
